Friday, Sept 19th we headed to the State Fair to finish our journey this year for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-day. I was a beautiful weekend with wonderful company in family and friends and such an AMAZING cause. Here's some pictures to recap.

Here are Kris & Michelle showing their parents
DuWayne & Barb's rings that they wear on a chain in remembrance.

We were stretching constantly to attempt to decrease the stiffness and soreness. I think it worked a little.

Titty Town! One of the wonderfully decorated pit stops along the way.

Noah joined us for Titty Town. It was quite fitting since he wanted to breastfeed. Where else to go for that but Titty Town.

Cheering Stations! As you can see, when we arrived to see our family and friends at the cheering stations we were quite excited.

Here's how beautiful we looked brushing our teeth at the campsite.

Amy & Heidi Sue all cozy in the 6.5' x 6.5' tents.

Ah yes, the Michelle signature move for passing walkers at the 3-day. She would grab her pack to prevent bouncing and "walk fast" by other walkers. You're not allowed to run at the 3-day, but I'm not sure she followed that rule.

Day 3!!! We had team shirts made this year and we all wore them on the 3rd day walking. Here's Courtney, Amy & Angie getting ready to set out to finish over 60 miles.

Lunchtime! Here we are enjoying lunch on the last day. We spent over an hour at lunch that day to try to keep our team all together to cross the finish line.

This gave us plenty of time to doctor our feet up for the journey. We all did a little better this year compared to last because we knew what we needed to do to attempt to prevent as many blisters as possible.

Michelle & Courtney at lunch.

Angie definitely got the most blisters since her feet are as soft as a baby's bottom, but this sign definitely kept her moving. It puts your blisters into perspective.

FINISH LINE!!!! We finished at the State Capitol and it was just beautiful.

Everyone was there to cheer us in.

We sort of monopolized on the lovely lawn space to hang out and let the thousands of people file out while we relaxed.

Maddox gave everyone a nice big hug to congratulate all of the hard work.

Alright, who's ready for 2009? We want to grow our team and shoot for $30,000 so get
walkin'. Details for joining to follow.
